Clinical Psychologist in Lund
MALIN BÄCKMAN, LIC PSYCHOLOGIST
Whether seeing a clinical psychologist is something you have thought about for some time because of mental health issues or it is an idea that recently has come up because of some external event or challenges you are facing you are welcome to book an appointment.
Sometimes one or a few counselling sessions can be enough to get a fresh perspective on what is happening in life and move on, or to take action, or maybe gain an insight in what one needs. Sometimes you may need a longer treatment to deal with depression, anxiety or deeply ingrained thinking and behavioral patterns. You decide what you need and what suits you best at this particular point in time. My job is to make good use of the time we have and be of best possible assistance and support in the challenge or difficulty you are facing.
I have almost 20 years of experience as a clinical psychologist, working mainly in a primary care setting or at University hospitals in Lund and Örebro. I have had my main training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and also have a long experience in working with mindfulness and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), especially with depression or stress-related problems.
I take special interest in health-related issues such as stress, sleep-problems, changing habits such as smoking or taking up physical activity. I also have done extensive work with people going through difficult life events such as bereavement or physical illness and also with anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress (PTSD) existential crises etc.
You can make a booking on our webpage or by calling 046-4601266 to ask our receptionist to help book an appointment.

Please observe that all counselling or psychotherapy at Ryggcentrum is part of a private practice policy. If you are struggling with serious psychiatric problems or suicidal thoughts or plans you should always contact an emergency psychiatric unit.
